Lisa Helder has been styling hair for 20 years and has a great touch. That may be the reason she called her at home hair salon studio, “Personal Touch Hair Design”.

This year marks the first time Lisa has gained online presence with her hair salon. As an ongoing customer for several years, it was my personal opinion that Lisa would benefit from having a website and being online so that more people could find her business. Having a website can also increase your level of professionalism.

Since I create websites and do SEO (search engine optimization) as part of Rocketstone Business Marketing Solutions, I talked with Lisa one day about an online presence for her hair salon studio. The result of that discussion was a brand-new website using the URL, www.personaltouchhairdesign.com.

I know that Lisa’s hair salon is coming up in search engine results, because I’ve checked it out. As a matter fact, just now I typed into a Google search page “family haircuts Dorchester Ontario” and Lisa’s hair design studio was the second result after one paid advertisement.

Typing in “reasonable priced haircuts Dorchester Ontario”, also returns Lisa’s website as the fourth result. Here’s something else I can type in: “discount hair cut or perm”. This results in one of Lisa’s blogs from November. The blog was called “get a discount hair cut, color, perm or waxing”. It talks about a special discount Lisa was running for the month of November. Even though the discount was for November, this search result still raises awareness about Lisa’s home studio salon.

Don’t underestimate the value of a website, a blog, videos, and directories. All of these things can help you promote your business just like Lisa has done with her own Personal Touch Hair Design.
